The University Mohammed V-Agdal is a prestigious modern university with a rich past upon which it continues to build its proud legacy. Its history is distinguished by the close link to the great project of construction of the Moroccan state of modernity, citizenship and prosperity after the era of independence

Being at the heart of a rich and diversified scientific, technological and cultural environment, the UM5A remains dedicated to enhancing scientific research and professional insertion playing, thus, an undeniable role in the contribution to the total development of the country.

Having fully joined the reform process, our University has already began the promotion of its educational system which has as a focal point the modenization of our higher education and the renewal of the whole educational system in its relationship with the student.

The UM5A seeks to prepare a new generation of graduates for tomorrow’s most important career fields of science, information technology, engeneering, human sciences, law and economics. It expects its graduates to be proficient in the use of languages and computing technology, and strong in research skills. It also aims at helping them develop the ability to think independently and critically, the ability to learn and the ability to change and grow.
Being a major scientific and cultural institution, the University is fully aware of the challenges of a continually changing world, and is certain that it has - with other Moroccan Universities - a difficult and hard responsibility for the creation of a generation that is aware and proud of its identity and traditions, a generation of graduates ready for the creation of a better future for the country.

To achieve these missions, the University continues to work hard and aim high. It gives great importance to expanding, improving and strengthening its teaching and research programs that support the social, economic, technological, and strategic needs of the country.

Largely open to its socio-economic environment, the University Mohammed V-Agdal never ceased to forge innovative and mutually productive relationships with government, business, industry, non government organizations and other educational institutions seeking permanantly to manage its resources efficiently to deliver high quality teaching and research programs and henceforth establish for itself a clear identity as an outstanding and innovative institution.
